Box stand on food plot
270 win

Just had a spike role through and the feeder going off scared him away. Looking for a racked buck. Water line must have froze last night as I had no running water this morning. Hopefully I don’t have any plumbing work to do when I get back to the camp :(

2 yearling at 7:30 came within 15 yards. Mightve been my last sit. Maybe i can make it back this evening or next week.

Lock on with my back to 200 acres of 5 year old pines and facing a strip of woods that boarders a food plot.
Have seen an 8pt, a spike, 3 does and 2 yearlings so far.

Seen two does and a small buck.
Small buck fed in front of me for 10 minutes and I debated taking him.
Never gave me a good solid shot.

I’d rather harvest a doe anyway.
I’ll give it another 1/2 hour or until my bladder gives out.
I have mechanical work to do anyway.

Beautiful morning.

Most likely the last deer hunt for me. Edge of a food plot surrounded by an overgrown field. A lot of rubs and a big fresh scrape in front of me. Good luck.

Made it back out here after kids soccer game. Might be last hurrah of the year.
Comfortable weather to clean one. Trigger finger itchy

My son didn’t want to go hunting this weekend so I’m done. I don’t need the meat or really feel like cleaning more. But I would have loved for him to get his first deer.

That's a big bitch... 270.5lbs

Spent the morning under the camp repairing busted pipes, wasn't too bad considering we hit 4 degrees. Might have been my last trip until the season closes, spent a little less time in the woods compared to previous years, but still had a good year.

Daughter in law killed a nice 3 year old 8 point this evening. It was her first buck and second deer of her life.
