Food influencer and mother of two dies at 39 after surgery complication

Simms passed away at age 39 after suffering "a tragic surgery complication,” Simms Hendrix announced Jan. 19 on Lady & Larder's official Instagram account.
"This loss is immeasurable, and our hearts are completely shattered," Simms Hendrix wrote alongside a photo of her late sister, whose nickname was Boo. "Boo was our magic maker, our color painter, and the brightest light I have ever known. We ask for your patience and understanding as we navigate this overwhelmingly painful time."

She was encouraging people in LA to eat meat and cheese. For an influencer, this was one of the good ones. RIP
