Why are people using this as a way to bash OSU?

I mean, everyone can do it now...

Want to beat them, then spend more, but Ole Miss will tell you that spending a ton doesn't always guarantee that ROI.

it for sure isnt fair at any rate, just because some teams have more money they should be able to go out and buy the best players? when college football was created a few hundred years ago those founding players never had this in mind. im sure they are rolling in their graves at the thought of players putting the almighty dollar above state and school pride. just really saddens me that the young kids nowadays will never really know what college football is supposed to be about. but hey, im sure someone on tkitok or snapchat or whatever will document the greatness that was college football. im sure 2019 lsu will be mentioned in a major way as the last great pure team that college football was made to be!

Team full of local Louisiana boys playing for the love of the game and absolutely nothing else, just like the founders intended...

SEC country has had the built in advantage of geographic and better climate to get the top recruits for years. Life isn't fair

Each NFL team is capped at 255 million spent on salary…..per season.

Each NFL teams rookie salary hold itself is probably comparable to the Ohio state money for NIL (usually around 7-20 mil depending on size of the draft class)

OSU did last year what every team is trying to do this past year.

They deserve credit for being ahead of the curve from a spending standpoint.

Their entire payroll is less than more than half the NFL teams qb salary

You are an idiot. Mahomes makes more in one year than OSU paid their entire team. DA is going to DA

Their are a fair amount of College Football Coaches that flat out make more money that Pro Coaches.

I would even say LSU was a leading cause of coach salary inflation for the last 2 decades.

Those numbers have hit the pro level as well for head coaches. Vrabel is reportedly getting 15+ mil a year

Assistants make chump change on the other hand. Which As with most things, including NIL, it’s about the ability to move freely from year to year

The NFL heavily restricts movement unless it’s for a HC job. You need permission to interview any candidate and up until recently you could even deny candidates seeking a promotion elsewhere.

College on the other hand had zero real speed bumps to coaches job hopping each year, leading to coaches resetting their market value nearly every season. If you’re Jimbo you can flirt with every program every offseason and keep getting more money because there’s nothing that really locked you into place

So the jist is the college coaches have had their own transfer portal for decades, but now want to act high and mighty that the players have that portal flexibility too that power vacuum has shifted to the players and they can’t stand it

Teams supported by boosters with money have been buying players for well over two decades now.

I'll assume you're being sarcastic, because that team absolutely had players receiving money and/or major gifts from boosters.
