King Cake Question

I need to have some King Cakes shipped to me for staff and clients. Haven’t bought one in a while.
What’s your favorite Bakery and flavor/filling for king cakes?
Got an email from Gambino’s today and the pics of theirs look good.
Last time I bought one in person was from Ambrosia and it was great.
Tell me what’s the best choice.

three king cake threads today. y'all are making me want to get one.
Well, didn’t see it on page 1. Worked all day and just looked at TD.

If king cake was that good it would not be seasonal. Just go to a Cinnabon gas station and put some sprinkles on it.

For these kinds of orders, Haydels does well. You can order online and be guaranteed a fresh delivery. They will include beeds, doubloons, a cup, and a little Mardi .Grad history magazine. The out of state people love all of that.!

Everyone has their favorite place and filling. Gambinos cakes are solid. I personally prefer cream cheese or Bavarian crème filled. However, if pleasing a crowd then plain is fine.

Manny Randazzo, Nonna Randazzo, Caludas, Dong Phoung. All are excellent

Caluda’s is my go to. Not the cheapest, but sure to impress. My preference is cream cheese.

They bake twice a day. Also, Manny’s ex wife and kids

Gambinos cakes are solid.
Not all Gambinos are the same like Haydel’s Bakery. There are 2 or 3 XYZ Gambino’s and 2 or 3 ABC Haydel’s Bakeries. Same with Randazzo’s.
My local Walmart is selling a line of Joe Gambino’s King Cakes, which are not an authentic original Gambino’s King cake, and some other off bakery’s king cake from Kenner. Walmart must lose a ton on these, they even had some on the clearance rack.
At least this year, there are 4 more weeks of carnival season because Mardi Gras is in March this year. So Walmart can loose more money, and us fatties can eat more king cake.
