I'm not an expert on dynasties, but I think you have to at least one or two before the conversation about dynasty starts

Not saying they are there, just would they be the next most likely?

If not, who could step up, if anyone?

you don't have to have any to be predicted to become the next one.
that's how predictions work. you make them BEFORE the event happens.

I doubt we see another Dynasty in the current Wild West version of the NIL/transfer portal era. Nobody can stack up talent for a long run like they used to be able to.

With NIL and the portal, there won't be any more dynasties

They couldn’t become a dynasty in a 4 team playoff why would they become one now?

Ohio State is going to be Saban's Alabama on steroids.

They are in the title game under the 12 team playoff system.
Meanwhile the entire SEC will be sitting at home watching.
Does that answer your question?

It may be Notre Dame. Freeman is going to have them good for a long time.

OSU is talented enough annually to do it, but they are losing like 18 starters from this team to next. They will reload to an extent, but they need to get good quick next season

NIL and Portal is precisely why there could be a dynasty, like OSU or another. If a program gets the blueprint and becomes the Yankees of college football it'll be a real issue. It's funny the one thing that could cause a dynasty is the reasons why people think there wouldn't be

Not possible in the NIL era. They'll be consistentky good and in the playoffs but there were even before.

Yes. This is an SEC board so most will disgree but that just means most on here are stupid. The NIL world favors big schools with large, wealthy alumni bases that are passionate about football. Ohio State is easily the top 2-3 the NIL world.

The fact that you can’t stockpile talent simply means the best 22 wins. Ohio State (and a few other schools) can simply buy the best 22 every year. There is a reason the NFL has a salary cap. Otherwise Mahomes would no longer be in KC.

Also, in a 12 team playoff , there is almost no reasonable scenario that Ohio State doesn’t make it. They have lost more than 2 games in a season 2x in the last 20 years. So they will be there almost every year. They won’t win it every year. But this won’t be their last in the next 5 years.
