Loomis has let an impressive starting defense go b/c of his cap mismanagement

This defense is better than the one we currently have…..

DE: Hendrickson, Davenport
DT: Rankins, Onyemata
Lbs: Baun, Ellis, Anzalone
Corner: Lattimore, Yiadom, CGJ(nickel)
Safety: Williams, Bell

And I know some people we were right to let go b/c of injuries relative to production. But still a lot of talent that walked out the door. Many b/c of poor csp management.

It’s always better to trade a player one year too early than one year too late. Most of these guys we just let walk.

Baun absolutely balled out this year for the eagles.

Only issue I have with this is not all were due to cap management

Davenport was kept around too long because of pride and let walk because he couldn’t stay healthy. Also may have been the reason they let Hendrickson walk because they had to be right about Davenport

Could be wrong about Rankins, but he just never lived up to his draft position. Akeem Hicks is another one that could be here, but he was a late developer that they gave up on too soon

Baun is 100% of DA. Played in the wrong position, tried to resign him but wanted him for ST, he wanted to go somewhere that would play him on defense

Abalone showed the promise, but couldn’t stay on the field

CGJ got his feelings hurt when they tried to use him as bait for Watson. He then hurt DA’s feelings, so they traded him

There isn’t one starter on our defense who could start for 25 plus teams in the NFL.

In fact only McCoy and Fuaga are the only 2 players on the roster under 27 who could start for 25 plus teams. The roster is a disaster.

So why does Analzone suddenly figure out health in Detroit? Something is rotten with Oschner and Gayle has blood money on her hands with her tentacles spread throughout the Oschner medical cult.

That wasn’t the decision they were faced with when Hendrickson was a FA.

Think he’s out the league. I was only listing players that are currently on teams and playing right now.

But you are right Hicks was a beast, we were playing him out of position at end when he should have the 3 tech. Huge screwup by the coaches on that one. And we traded him for a backup te I think.

Most of these guys are starters on playoff teams, two of them are currently first team all-pros……

Rankins was beginning to live up to his hype, he was borderline elite and then the Achilles injury happened.

The least talented but the most expensive by far. As a matter of fact, we've had to let go of good players solely because of how bad the roster management is. I just don't understand how no one has pulled Ms. Gayle aside and told her that Mickey is the problem with this team. He is costing her hundred of millions of dollars.

He missed 7 games this year. Solid player but on the wrong side of 30. I'm not mad about this one.

I thought he was still hanging around, just saw he last played for TB in 2022.At least them playing him out of position is not on DA, that was Spags & Rex.

I guess the good news is that the scouting isn't as bad as people think it is sometimes.

But it's as if the coaches and the scouting aren't on the same page and what they're really looking for.

But then yeah the other part of it is you end up not being able to sign everybody because of the way you run your salary cap.

So all that stuff the other day that Loomis was saying about being on the same page. Well they haven't been.
