Is going to be released in 2025. No specific date has been announced. Will play Nintendo Switch games and Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive games. More information is going to come out the next few weeks.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it is Nintendo’s motto I guess. I’ll buy this day 1. Nintendo could shite in a box and I would buy it.

Like the look. Reminds me of the sleekness of the ps4 but maintains its identity and elegant design. I will definitely be getting one of these eventually but almost certainly not around its release . My biggest question is how high quality of non Nintendo games will this thing be able to run? Like say this can run Rebirth at 30 FPS. That would be damn impressive

That video was really well done to show the original switch transforming into the Switch 2 to show all the various changes.

Lost my last Switch two years ago and have been waiting for this day for a while. One of the main reasons I didn’t just go buy a new Switch.

This one looks like it almost might be too big for handheld? The OG was already a pretty good size. Still, it looks clean. I can’t wait

Looks perfect, I'll def get one of course.

The only thing I hope is that they sell a model that doesn't use the Orange and Blue accent colors on the sides. Hopefully a model that has plain black joycons and plain black on the docking sides. They did basically that at the launch of the original switch, had the standard Red/Blue joycon model and then one with just plain gray/black joycons too.

Since the accents are now built into the actual unit, so if it's sitting in the dock without joycons I don't really want carnival colors coming off it.

I never bought a Switch OLED so I'm pretty due for an upgrade. Will just have to wait a bit to see some games before I jump in. I hope to avoid my pitfall of last generation where I preordered a Switch and bought no games for it for several months.

Yeah I bought my switch day 1 and it’s been going strong ever since. I play with it docked 99% of the time so I never felt the need to upgrade to the OLED

I thought I would do the same but ended up playing it more in handheld mode.

Very glad that backwards compatibility is confirmed. I've been avoiding buying titles because I wasn't going to get burned.

My son has a Switch. That's all we play. We've logged many miles on MK8.

Very good system. We always keep his plugged up to his big tv in his room. Never really use it as a portable actually.

$400 for the system. The pro controller will be $80 I’m sure then any games will be $60-70. You’re probably looking at dropping $600 at least on release day

Thats why I said I likely wont be getting it at release less to do with pricing as Nintendo keeps prices steady mostly but because I just dont want to have to be caught up in the race of looking for one if there are shortages. If they show off some banger game launching with it I could be convinced day1. i really love my switch even if its my third system behind ps5 and pc

Plus on the switch you could use an xbox 360 controller. Doubt that will be available on switch 2 haha

I wonder if Switch controllers can pair to this. Obviously joy-cons won't connect directly, but it looks like they have the same pairing system/button as the current controllers.

I'm a day 1 buy regardless. The Switch has consistently gotten more use than any other system in my house since release. Even when someone is playing the XBox, someone else is playing the Switch.

I see absolutely no reason whatsoever to change the Pro Controller. It’s the greatest controller ever made, but I’m guessing this will also be “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

Nintendo will probably make a carbon copy of the pro controller and just slap “Nintendo Switch 2” on it
