2026 TB 2nd

No big time top 10 impact players but multiple trade downs and accumulating as many top 75 picks as possible to fill the numerous holes on the roster. Even picked up a 2nd for next year. Only way out of this mess Loomis has created….

Every year we as fans want to trade down and every year we end up mortgaging the next draft. Loomis doesn’t trade down so don’t expect it.

Agreed, and every year the team he puts together misses the playoffs, but his process is working according to him.

The draft is a game of odds. You want as many rolls of the dice as possible. Trade down every year.

I'd rather go BPA at our current picks.
We have 4 picks on the top 90.

If ever there was a point in Saints history to just take the BPA at every pick, these next 2-3 years is it. There isn't one position group on this team that can't use an upgrade or infusion of additional young talent.

You need more guards than that and Georgia has two studs at guard

Like the players. Not sure they’ll be available where you picked them and certainly Loomis won’t trade down that much.

Not a chance we trade down to 32. On top of that the saints don’t need a 3 tech dt. They already have that. They need a nt. I do like the idea of trading back to pick up an additional second but trading from 9 to 32 better result in future first round picks.

There’s no way in hell that Conerly Jr. is available in the 3rd rd unless he has medical issues.

Nope. He continues to think we’re just one piece away.

Which is really sad he can’t see it.

Sure already been posted from 13 Jan but loomis ain’t looking at future.

Saints GM Mickey Loomis has 'high level of confidence' in Derek Carr, thinks team can have quick turnaround

For Saints general manager Mickey Loomis, that involves extensive discussions about how much work or time is needed to get the team back into the upper echelons of the league. For his part, Loomis has a positive outlook on the situation.

"I'm positive. I'm glass half-full at all times. Even in a 5-12 season, I see a lot of things that were positive that we can build on," Loomis said on Monday. "So I'm on the side of, man, this thing can go the other direction pretty quickly."

It’s unlikely, but things change after the combine.

Didn’t think there was any way in hell Brian branch and Cooper dejean wouldn’t go in the first either…..

They are likely to win the national championship.

Lattimore was the best Saints corner in our history. Olave was drafted to high but is still a 1k yard receiver. Werner is a solid starting linebacker.

Vonn Bell was a solid starting safety that’s better than anything we have now.

MT and Malcolm Jenkins both made the all pro team.

LeCharles Bentley was the best center in the league when he left us.

You really don’t have a clue….

Will Smith as well, the only OSU player that didn’t pan out the saints drafted was Antonio Pittman.

Don’t know how I forgot about him. One of our all time best.

We could own the nfl just picking Ohio state and lsu players to be honest.
