I trust Scrim more than I trust Loomis right now. He is an Accountant by trade & a Money guy. He has no idea about player personnel. I just hope whoever we hire can make this work.

Everybody hates the guy but anything short of Gayle Benson dying won't see this team become a winner.

Mickey Loomis is a failure. Lacks complete self awareness.

Loomis speaks like a man with no self awareness and zero pressure to perform. He can basically do what he wants. No one will touch him

Here’s the irony of the general situation:

As long as Gayle lives (she’s presently 77), the Saints stay in NOLA and are mediocre.

When she dies, Lauscha is charged with trying to find a purchaser for the team who’ll keep the team in NOLA.

If he can’t, then he finds a buyer who’ll may move the team.

Will/Can Lauscha offer a “hometown discount” to a local buyer?

Otherwise, the team is gone. Again, ironically, maybe to San Antonio?

Doubtful the league wants a third team in Texas.

JJ will fight like crazy for that to not happen.

Jherrie is 82, five years Gayle’s senior.

He may not be able to object.

There’s only 32 of these, nobody is fighting to keep a team from coming.

Saints in San Antonio would have better medicine than Oschner and the payers would have nicer houses to live in. Sell the team.

The guy hasn’t sniffed the playoffs without both Sean and Brees on the team. He’s clueless about what to do.

Please stop with this idiotic take. Gayle isn't and won't sell the team. Why would someone who is making a ridiculous profit as a business owner sell? Its idiotic.

This is actually an idiotic take. Teams are sold all the time while the current owner is alive. Mecom was alive when sold to Benson. Gayle is at the ripe age when franchises are usually sold as she has no heirs nor did she bear any children of her own.

The problem for you is your self worth is tied to the Saints in NOLA regardless of their performance. Once you realize you’ll be fine if they’re sold it’s liberating.

Never say never, Gayle is becoming a pariah of sorts in the area and as the catcalls ramp up in her public appearances her awkwardness will make her reconsider.

It’s no fun owning a loser and she is staring at 2-5 win seasons next few years. It’s only going to get worse.

Mecom still is alive at 85.
