Jim Haslett 2.0 Era if we do that. Well 3.0. Allen was Haslett Lite.

Seems like he drafts well. With the extra picks and in cap hell another year, a good draft guy is something I want.

There's no coach that will make y'all happy.

McCarthy is an offensive minded coach who knows how to run a team and probably will be happy to get out from under Jerry's thumb. Sants could do a lot worse.

I wouldn’t hate it. I don’t want Glenn.

We could do much worse. Dennis Allen was a proven loser, McCarthy has won consistently and has a Super Bowl on his resume. May not be an exciting hire but definitely better than Glenn

If Loomis remains in charge of the cap I am 100% pretending to be done with the Saints.

I'm curious if he'd even entertain coming here. He was an assistant here for a while, so that's something at least.

You guys don’t realize we need an experienced head coach to get thru the next few years of rebuilding? It doesn’t matter who the next coach is. But I’d rather a guy like Nagy or Vrabel who has the experience at the top

Mike McCarthy has never been unsuccessful

Anyone that would love Vrabel but not McCarthy is very inconsistent

McCarthy is closer to Sean Payton than any of the other guys we have been linked to.

I’d love to see the Saints fan rip the Cowboys and how bad he was and then turn around and say he’s a home run.

Will McClay is the president and in charge of the draft. He’s the main guy responsible for scouting and drafting. And our last few first round picks have been arse.

IMO, if you would take Mike Tomlin if he becomes available and you think McCarthy is a terrible hire, then you are not interested in a serious discussion. They have damn near identical resumes.

I'm not saying that he would be a homerun or a strikeout just showing the stats that he isn't exactly like the two other coaches mentioned.
