Frick the red cross as it is now. Yes, Samaritan's Purse is legit.

Samaritan's Purse is a great organization in all respects.
Donations are used for the purposes, if designated, for which they are given.
Samaritan's Purse has been doing this for many years and have a proven track record..

Spent 16 to 18 hours day for a week at Houma Civic center after Katrina. 1500 refugees from New Orleans.
About 4th day two vans of Red Cross people rolled up at lunch and took over serving food. Resplendent in their red vests. They just happened to have a video crew with them, filming their smiling faces as they worked the steam table.
After about 20 minutes they got back in their vans and left.
frick Red Cross

Amen. They did fantastic work in western Kentucky after the tornadoes and when everyone else left, they were still there. Same thing in Eastern Kentucky with the floods. They are who I donate to for disaster relief. Plus I trust Franklin Graham to do what is right.

Samaritan's Purse was great following the Easter tornados in Monroe a few years ago. I've sent them a small check every year since. Great organization.

NFL partners with The Red Cross. Announcers are asking for donations during the Baltimore vs Pittsburgh broadcast.

Quit giving to Red Cross after Katrina and Rita. They tried to move storm refugees around and threatened to quit feeding them meals that Southern Baptists mobile kitchens were providing, if they didn’t comply.

Samaritans purse is a quality organization.
Red Cross is all about the donations and overhead. Red Cross for Hurricane Harvey was all about soliciting money.
There is a Buddest group out of Japan maybe Korea that set up shop in Rockport distributing 500 dollar/person checks. All you had to do was get on the county list of destroyed houses.
Several large appliance suppliers also gave units to folks on the list.
There will be a diverse group of good samaritans providing help. Do not hesitate to stand in line

I never saw a dime from redcross after the 2016 flood. I do not support them, they rip people off.

After Katrina wife and I wanted to help out,we’re both nurses.I called Red Cross, they said we had to go through some frickin orientation program they would schedule in a few days.
We got in our car, drove to LSU to the Pete Maravich center where the evacuees were being taken in.Walked in ,showed them our nursing licenses and they put us to work. They put me with the adults checking blood sugars and giving meds.
Wife was assigned to help with the unaccompanied children that were coming in which there were quite a few.
We stayed there about 24 hours and then had to come home as our hospital was getting in evacuees.

Agree. My money goes to Samaritans Purse. Designated for western North Carolina.
California for me is on their own.

The most important part. A lot of these big organizations are non-profit in filing only.

The Red Cross, Red Crescent, Associated Press and the various EU and UN agencies are liars to their core. Not one penny from me.

Add Samaritan's Purse to your thread title to give them more exposure.

Years ago, before his presidential aspirations, Trump told everyone the Red Cross was a scam.
In 2022, Gail McGovern was the President and CEO of the American Red Cross, with a salary of $832,241.
That's a lot of donations Gail

My dad could tell you some stories about how scummy the Red Cross behaved after Hurricane Camille in 1969.
