Why do people on here hate Ohio State?

I’m not saying it’s weird to dislike any team that is successful, but there seems to be an abnormally high percentage on here that will list OSU as one of the top schools they hate. I’m biased, but my dad’s side of the family is from that area of Ohio, thus, I kind of like them in the Big Ten.
Gus Johnson slobbering on their knob is very annoying. Ryan Day seems sort of douchey, but their fans didn’t seem any worse than fans of Bama or Georgia or any other top program.
Their major scandal involved tattoos. Jim Tressel seemed like a good dude. That 2002 team was a rough, blue collar type squad. For a blueblood, they haven’t won natties at some annoying pace.
I guess I am out of the loop, but I find the College Station cult, USC front runners, ND sidewalk fans, barking UGa, tree poisoning Gumps, and SECr Tennessee fans to be worse.

The most boorish fanbase in the country.

It's Ohio and they have an annoying fanbase while playing in a shite conference.

A lot of the recent dislike is because of Ryan day. Dudes a chode.

I mean, there’s plenty of annoying fanbases and the Big Ten has probably been the #2 conference for a long time at this point, and can argue they are currently #1.

Urban Meyer. A truly disposable person

Because the B1G has been traditionally a weak conference, it’s just them and Michigan that have any form of history. They slide through an easy schedule and whoever wins The Game slide right into national contention. They are slobbered on every year by the media regardless of their actual talent and as of right now have nothing more to show for it compared to a Florida, Clemson, Georgia, Florida State, since the BCS started. The sport writers have always favored mid-west football over the south and will always and i repeat always put a B1G team over an SEC if they have the opportunity too.

2002 team had Maurice Clarrett. They been cheating forever. Death threats to a coach who has a winning 90%, give me a break.

Have you met people on this board? I experienced the hate all the time despite being a fan of both OSU and LSU, everyone would take shots at OSU. I then moved out of the traditional SEC plant worker area and realized people respect OSU a lot more everywhere else. It's refreshing.

Interesting, because one of the major narratives on this board is people shitting on Herbstreit because he was making cases for the 3-loss SEC teams and dumped on Indiana.

Traditionally since when? I think when you go all the way back, you’ll find that there were stretches of dominance from Michigan St and Minnesota. It’s not like Penn State sucked.
Post BCS, sure it hasn’t been dominant. But if the Big Ten is weak, then literally every conference outside the SEC is weak. Are you gonna say the Pac 12, Big 12, or ACC was better?

FSU and Clemson get to sleepwalk through a garbage conference also, do they not?

You do realize this is social media bs that happens with any major program or sport. There is noone legitimately threatening anyone on the staff. Welcome to the 2020s.

I know, it doesn't make sense,
They have the Best Team, Best Band, Best Stadium, Best Tradition, Best Fans.
What's not to like ?

There's an irrational hate for programs/teams that are successful and in the national conversation all the time.
People hate the fact that the Eagles and Cowboys are in the 4:15 time slot twice a year. And then the talking heads preview it and break it down for weeks, even when both are bad.
Duke basketball, Ohio State football, Etc.
There have been personalities that people don't like. But honestly, I don't understand the Ryan Day disdain. I could easily be jaded as a fan and alumnus of the school.
