into Obamacare?

What’s ironic to me is that every other type of insurance policy requires a risk assessment.

Yet one of the most important insurances we need don’t have it. Therefore, what did Obama and his acolytes receive for including it?

Obama care did NOTHING but drive up the cost of healthcare!

I don't know anyone who is on the plan....

It was an abject failure and even Obama admits it.

This seems to make the most sense. Make health insurance so unbelievably unaffordable that the retarded masses beg for government to take over the industry completely.

We need poll tests. We need them bad.

Everyone on insurance is on Obamacare because they wrote in requirements that insurance had to provide and that's what drove up insurance costs.

Very good point and it was time to reign it in but risk assessment is a necessity to a certain degree.

I think it was like 40-50% of people on Obamacare had a plan for $0/month I kid you not. Subsidies at $0 provide zero incentive to go get your education or a job for that matter.

Please explain in detail? Can the insurance companies assess who they want and don't want to cover and what to charge them?

I have been out of it too long to really know anymore but it'll never go back to that level. For one thing, healthcare cost from 30 years ago has increased. I think 37 states did Medicaid expansion (2 to 1 fed match). Whoopee. Problem is, they grossly underestimated what their 1 dollar match was going to cost them. Remember the old catastrophic policies for young healthy people? Gone. Obamacare has screwed so much up that it's not even calculable.

You do not understand the concept of of insurance. It is to offer protection against an unknown risk. If you have a preexisting condition the calculation is that you have a greater chance of a reoccurrence or complications. Covering preexisting conditions is not insurance. The reason they are declined is that it is impossible to assess the risk and offer a premium that covers the risk. Obamacare is an entitlement, not insurance. Insurance companies would become financially unstable if large numbers of uninsurables were charged a healthy insured’s premiums.

bullshite. Health insurance is not insurance against loss, like coverage you buy to cover replacement of your home. It is a group funded cost spreading device. It covers routine care as well as accidents.

If you want health insurance to protect only against unexpected injuries or surprise illness, like insurance on your barn, them you are a moron who has obviously never paid your own bills.

You’re the moron. You have no clue about insurance. You buy insurance, health life, property and casualty to insure against a loss that would financially devastate an individual or family. I have also paid my own way for over 50 years, so take your stupidity and shove it.

This is the dumbest thing you've ever posted, and that's saying a lot. If you want a product similar to what you've described do not call it insurance and move to another country.

Your health insurance doesn’t cover preventative care? No annual physicals or labs?

Bro, insurance company lobbyists wrote the legislation. The goal was massively increased profits for them. Mission accomplished.
