15 episodes, with each episode representing an hour of a shift. Noah Wyle from ER picked up from where he left off.

As John Carter, or just as a doctor?

Just an ER doctor in Pittsburgh. We watched the first episode and it’s good enough to keep watching IMO. It’s more of the old school ER, compared to the shite show that something like Grey's Anatomy turned into.

I am very interested in this show

It’s sort of like “24” in each episode is based off an hour in a random shift

Plan to check it out.

Originally it was supposed to be a Dr. Carter spin off but Michael Crichton’s widow wouldn’t allow it (she owns all of the ER properties). Then they just adjusted characters and details. She’s apparently suing over it but they’re going ahead.

Is it just me or do all shows that are by “max” royally suck and very cheesy?

Totally not the same as a show made by HBO

I usually don't let politics drive my entertainment consumption, but holy shite Grey's has become unwatchable. My wife still watches and the bits and pieces I see/hear are so woke its cringeworthy.

We have enjoyed Chicago Med, it is more focused on actual medical issues, with only a small amount of staff drama, and even less wokeness.

We are looking forward to giving The Pitt a try.

One of these days I need to start all 3 of the Chicago shows. With the amount of episodes between all 3 shows, I’ll definitely have to upgrade Peacock to add free.

So, hopefully by episode 15, we see the remaining patient in the waiting room from episode 1?

I can’t imagine anything less interest than another hospital drama, except maybe another police procedural

I get it. For the people that liked ER this isn’t just another network TV hospital drama with things happening all over the hospital, it’s all in the ER. The first two episodes have been pretty good IMO.

So good to see Dr. Carter back in the ER

John Carter is ny favorite TV character of all time so it’s like coming home to see Noah Wyle in a hospital again

Finished up the first episode last night... it's really, really good. Looking forward to it. Has a really good early ER vibe to it.

Very very good, tho it hit a little to close to home for me. Lost my dad in Oct , so tthat second episode was tough to watch in spots. Also that new show Doc on Fox is really good and I'm not really into hospital shows.
