Time to revisit the issue of whether Trump is a time traveller.

Why do you think that is? And it's obvious it's way too early to have a full account of the damage

That’s it?

Not minimizing but like the value of properties lost in this area are on a scale not seen in most areas

Was thinking even more

And the monetary damage isn't limited to just the buildings...

We have an avg cost of $50M per building lost? If you account for the infrastructure around a building, like light poles and such, this estimate seems way off.

Obviously the cost of buildings varies greatly. A large commercial property is worth a lot more than even these 10 million plus mansions. But like I said it's way too early to get anywhere near an approximation of the damage.

I have been to the West Coast many, many times. Lived West of big river for 20+ years.

Perhaps the folks living there that “love the environment” so much should leave?

Value is something that goes up and can come down. Price is the dollars assigned for the transaction.
Lots of lawyers and inspectors and experts are going to get rich as those who have insurance find that they are underinsured, or the insurance companies declare the $$ to be excessively inflated.

We are all just living on one big rock. Doubt those places are worth a can of beans if they had State Farm.

The homes aren't 10s of millions of dollars, it's the hillside they're built on. Who gives a shite if it's worthless now, insurance isn't reimbursing the overpriced land.

FEMA cuts a check for the structure, they sell the lot for millions, relocate to the Midwest or southeast and spend the rest of their days counting their windfall.

I don't think it's quite that simple. Some of those people are presumably employed out there. And the very wealthy often have items in their homes that might rival the cost of the home.

That's just from the Palisades fire

The Eaton fire has ~1000 structures that are either destroyed or damaged also
