heard on the radio this morning 'Hoya?' was retiring from ABC and theyve been honoring her

..for the last couple of weeks with special guests and parties.

i have 2 questions:

WHO THE frick IS HOYA??

and

how the frick have i never heard this name despite them having been around TV long enough to 'retire'??

i guess i'll go back to yelling at clouds.

Hoda Kotb and she was an anchor in New Orleans on WWL in the 90s.

She's an older journo dame of Egyptian Muslim background, but overall, she's okay.

When she was on the air in New Orleans, and I'd hear them talking about her I thought they were saying Koda Copy.
