Seriously - not even once have I thought about making a billion dollars. I don’t even know what I’d do with that kind of money!

Because they have a lot of money.

Looks like someone fell for the libtard socialism message

Money brings power. This has always been true and isn't exclusive to America.

I'm more concerned as to why George Floyd is considered a leftist hero.

Are we really pretending folks with money don’t have governmental influence?
It’s a tale as old as American time. Used to be the money folks owned the newspapers.

Okay? What a weird thing to say

Because we allow them and we have very few principled people left.

I could never become a billionaire. My check out and enjoy life giving no fricks number is way south of that.

no...why shouldn't they? most billionaires pay a shitload in taxes, despite what the libs say, and employ a ton of people. Why is it all of a sudden a bad thing to have billions

Can't buy love, but you can buy a good time and influence/politicians.

Money brings power. Power means influence. Money also allows for an increase in reach. So money = influence + reach.
To put it a little less generally, billionaires donate to politicians and causes. The sheer amount they can donate means they get more attention from that person/group. The more money, the more leverage they have in getting their ideas pushed by the person/group (the unspoken threat being that if those ideas aren't pushed then the money dries up and the billionaire takes their donations elsewhere, possibly to a competitor) because running for office and/or running a charitable group (or political one) doesn't happen for free.

How would politicians that make 175k a year become multi millionaires

Any financial success over 10 million is considered excessive to these people. They want their fair share. Never mind these people employee countless amounts of individuals. Never mind they took on all the risk.

American time??? Do you realize how young America is as a country compared to the rest of the world???
This is a tale as old as TIME. Not "American time"

I’m aware. We’re talking about America here, so I specifically referenced America. Thanks for the concern.

It is crazy how they think but it seems to have really gained traction in the last few years
