Came across this online and have wanted one for months but can never catch it when it is in stock. Does anyone have one? Is it worth my time and money to track it and try to buy one? Seems cool to make shakes for my kids and adult beverages for myself and family.

We have one. Don’t use it all of the time (no kids though), but it is cool to have and easy to clean so far. Tons of drinks I’d like to try to make.

I got one over the summer as an impulse buy. Once you get a handle on the ratios of booze and sugar down in your recipes you can make drinks as good or better than your favorite daquiri or margarita. I’ve used it more than I thought I would. Have not tried milkshakes though.

What separates this from a regular blender? I have a pretty expensive Vitamix and can't imagine ever needing a secondary blending device.

If you are using that blender, you are adding ice to get the slushy effect and that ice melts and dilutes your drink. With the ninja slushy it works like a regular daiquiri machine, freezing the drink with an auger and not diluting your drink when it melts as you drink. Consistency of end Product may be different too. I haven’t used the Vitamix blender to make a drink.

You wouldn't really need this if you have a Vitamix or other expensive blender but for people who only have a cheap blender that doesn't handle ice well, this would be a nice upgrade.

But for alcoholic frozen drinks, you have to heavily dilute them with sugar or water in the Slushi for it to be the right consistency. You don't really need ice in a blender if you freeze your fruit or juice ahead of time. For just alcoholic beverages, I would stay away and stick to a blender.

The Slushi makes some incredible shakes, almost like soft serve ice cream.

I wish they had a gallon sized one bc 64oz aint enough for a party

Yes there is a ratio you need to hit but that is the same for any daiquiri or frozen drink you bought before. You can always toss in a extra shot to get the juices flowing lol.

This is the bottleneck for me. I'll buy a 128 ounce version if they ever come out with it with the quickness.

Novelty item. If you have unlimited counter space, go for it. I have a good amount of counter space, but this doesn’t make the cut

What recipe do you use? I tried it and it came out extremely frothy and unpleasant to drink.
