Two sources informed tells me the #Saints are gonna interview David Shaw for their HC position. Shaw is currently a senior personnel executive for the Denver Broncos. Shaw was the HC at Stanford for 12 years and coached QBs like Andrew Luck and Davis Mills. He also has an extensive background in the NFL as Asst HC with Eagles, Ravens and Raiders

Another Sean Payton connection. Currently with the Broncos, and the two spent time together in Philly.

Shaw is interesting. He’s only 52 and called plays at Stanford.

Worth digging into at least

Glenn is still in the playoffs and might not commit to an interview until he is out or later on down the road.

This immediately gets the Rooney Rule out of the way if they want to make a hire before then.

Another lazy coaching search… Loomis knows no one of importance will want to be his head coach….

This is telling me something completely different than it does everyone else apparently.

It tells me they have candidate(s) in mind that may be available before Glenn and want to pursue those avenues, but need to get rid of Rooney Rule immediately, and cannot wait for Glenn for that

Add Gruden and Vrabel (fat chance) to that list.
