What could have been if only he’d have had Baker as his coach instead of that total imbecile…

Hiring house was a clown move. BKs first staff was bad on defense. Then somehow his second is even worse

I hope you mean the second season of his first staff? Because the overhaul and guys we brought in showed significant improvement with the same to slightly less overall talent.

He always possessed the talent, but gave the worst effort I have ever seen when he was here.

House must have been really bad at motivating those guys, as that seemed to be the story.

I can't even comp him to Danny McCray because Danny just wasn't good at LSU during his entire career and then ends up having like 5 seasons in the NFL

Omar was hyped before he got here because he had production, comes to LSU, has a horrible season (along with everybody) and then goes to the NFL and churns out production.......

Matt House is a fricking bozo

The second year staff being losing Cain.

This one is fine. We have a lot of people that don’t read well

Year 1 house and staff

Year 2 house and now Lindsey replaced Cain

Year 3 Baker

Year 1 the staff was horrendous but Cain was good

Year 2 they all sucked

Year 3 a much better staff

Or you wrote something in a very odd and vague manner. It’s one of those.

I wouldn’t say that. He just looked completely lost out there. It was weird because the other players litterally singled him out as being the smartest guy on the defense and said he processed info incredibly well.

Jamarr Cain was not the difference in an average defense and the worst defense in school history. Come on.

That defense had 3 draft picks on the line an all rookie nfl linebacker and was still that bad. Those guys should never coach again.

this is just not true. House and Staff were actually pretty good that first year considering the hand they were dealt.

The funny part is people thought he physically couldn’t play here

Goes to show you how bad you can look without any coaching direction

He honestly didn’t look like he could. That play where Texas A&M’s back up blocking TE broke three separate Speights tackles en route to a 60 yd TD on a check down pass was the absolute worst defensive play I’ve ever seen from an LSU player. And that’s saying something considering some of the crap we’ve seen since 2020.

People forget that Speights got hurt early in '23 and missed a few games and parts of others. I don't know that he ever really got "right" at LSU. If he did it was later in the year. Even then, he was pretty meh for a guy in his 5th year of college with a lot of snaps played. More power to him for making the most of his NFL chance though.

Good for him on the All-Rookie team

His issue at LSU wasn't House's playcalling. It was his lack of speed.
