It'd be easier to list places that don't do stupid shite like in NOLA metro 
Luckily I've got a few shops in Mandeville that provide a solid selection of king cakes without all the nonsense. Got a Haydel's traditional for today

The reason we hate the DEI is because it’s not the best goes generally. If the stuff is good then the DEI crap really doesn’t matter. I don’t bother myself with it. It literally does not affect me at all.

Nope. I just don’t get caught up in stupid crap and worry about shite that doesn’t matter.
None of this affects my life one bit. That’s why I said. If it’s bad. Then yes boycott it. Boycott any DEI or anything if the hire was because of that and not merit. I don’t give a shite who you are if you can do the best job. I’m worried about what it is that’s being done, not who is doing it.
If you are worried about who is doing it rather than how well it is done, that’s just as bad as DEI and you would rather have someone worse in there. How about we have the best person that does the best fricking job?

There were Don Phuong king cakes at the grocery yesterday. $34 for plain and $38 for filled. I kept walking. Prices are insane. I blame part of the price on shipping. Everyone ships now, many don’t take phone orders to pay and hold, and it’s become a circus to get one of the popular cakes. Haydels and Marguerites are my go to so if I cave, those places make it easy. They do take orders.
