Why did something happen today? I wasn't paying attention.

Congress approval rating hovers in the 20% range. Congress members who are incumbents are reelected at a 95% rate.
The problem is the people who enter the voting booth.

Well that's the least surprising thing ever so it's hard for me to get upset about it.

I would say that it's a lack of viable primary candidates.

Ive read this multiple times and still cant understand what side shes pissed at
1) Is she mad that we didnt kick out Johnson and change things?
2) or is she mad because a few frat boys showed their arse on the 1st round of voting instead of voting for Johnson?
I confused

This is why overall Republicans are incompetent. Complain about Democrats all you want, but when it comes to voting on things and leadership they coalesce.....Republicans stand on muh principles. That's good if you are in the minority, but bad if you have a 1 or 2 seat majority

It’s not quite that simple. 2 party system that is reluctant to primary incumbents is partially to blame.

The implosions will cease once Trump is in office.

Nah. There a couple of Cabinet confirmations that are going to cause indigestion for Trump.
