I was vacationing in Miramar Beach a few weeks ago and visited with family in Pensacola. The amount of social media influencers I saw out there was unbelievable. So many of them were taking up space and trying to pick the best beach spots to take pictures of themselves/film content. And to no surprise, a lot of their license plates were from East and West coast states. Many of them were also wearing college spirit wear of universities like UCLA and NYU.
The FL panhandle used to be a destination for middle-class families from neighboring Southern states and fly-over Midwestern states. Now that the panhandle is the new “hot spot”, Gen Z and Millenial social media influencers from East and West coast states have infested that area like parasites. 15-20 years ago, you almost never saw these kinds of people visiting the panhandle. I would much rather be surrounded by middle-class Midwestern families than a bunch of fricking yuppies from California and NY. It’s exactly why I moved away from California from 20 years ago. Those kinds of people absolutely ruined the beaches in CA.
The trash will have to find a new place to congregate and get drunk under the university branded tent of a school in which they did not attend, I guess

It was a thing to be respectful of people taking pictures years ago before everyone had a camera in their pocket. I’m not waiting in a line of people stopped because dumbasses are filming and taking pictures. I experienced that in a crowded place last weekend. Walked through everyone with their phone out and didn’t give two shits about it.

I'm not a lay out on the beach all day type but we use a condo in Destin every year for our daughter's birthday and this year I noticed this going on all week, every day while we were there, and that's just from what I could see from either our beach(condo owns the beach,) or the balcony overlooking th\at stretch of the beach

I walk behind, but still in, their shot and give the old Joe Biden confused face. I do it at concerts too, when people do a group picture and I'm in the background
Took the kids to a resort in Orlando, and a group of .... diverse influencers set up shop with a huge speaker playing vulgar music, a ring light, and the works. There were 3 women with big asses in thongs. They were taking selfies and videos of each other, to include rinsing off in the shower, etc etc... I took pics of them because it was so insane. If I can find them, I'll post them.
It was unbelievable to watch and they were clueless to how out of place they were with the kids and family crowd at the pool. I asked a lifeguard to please do something about it, and security came and talked them. An argument ensued and they packed up and left.

Well and if it’s just a family taking some quick pics or something, I’m fine leaving them be.
The last time I was in St. Pete some chick was trying to do some big influencer thing and wanted to block off a good chunk of the beach down to the water at sunset. And threw a fit anytime walked past along the water (like EVERYBODY does at sunset). I have no patience for that shite. Took my sweet arse time walking through her section, stopped and took my own pictures.
