Traditional Folding Pocket Knives

I have been collection for quite a while. Though collecting isn't all together accurate as I am more of a user than just collecting to gather dust. If I buy I knife, it is to use.
My preference is traditional pocket knives. Though I do really like Spyderco for modern knives, I very much prefer the a traditional pocket knife. Anyone into these? If so, what are your favorites? I tend to collect GEC, Queen, Schrade(hard to beat a fricking Old Timer), Rosecraft(don't knock it till you buy one), Boker, Case, Primble, Buck, and too many older knives that are no longer in production. Chime in if this is your thing.

I love Spyderco. I think they are the epitome of ergonomics and have been carrying one every day since about 1990. Maybe before.
That said I love the old, thin, carbon steel blades of the old folders like Schrade and Buck.

Nothing beats a carbon steel blade...nothing. And I do agree, Spyderco is awesome. I carry a Para 2 LW all the time because it is such a good knife.

When you're carving a fingernail like it's butter is just sublime.

I have many older Old Time knives, they take nothing to sharpen to razor sharp. They aren't as convenient as a modern knife but nothing beats them.

I went decades with Endura's. Then a 2. Then a Para 3. Then a Native Chief.
And the winner was Native Chief. Because it's an amazing slicer but it's also a deep stabber. And with a deep carry clip you really don't notice it and neither does anyone else.

Boker, Case XX, Hen and Rooster for quality and eye appeal. Have several and will be nice to hand several down to my sons.

I cannot leave my house without my Case mini trapper

That was always a thing I loved about them.

Any esee fans out there?

I don't know anything about Esee folders, but my next fixed blade will likely be one.

I’m not a collector, but I carry a Buck 112 for my hunting knife and a Buck 501 as an EDC knife when I’m not at work.

Dragonfly 2
I wear it on my hip on my boxers to bed
Somewhat kidding but at 1.2oz it's been with me for 2 years. I've washed this thing a lot.

I have Case XX and Bokers for EDC, my Case Stockman Damascus is on the shelf now demoted from EDC. When I saw one for sale used it got shelved.
My pride and joy is the Case XX Trapper done by Brian Yellowhorse with Razorback insignias, my bride bought it for our 25th anniversary present. It's in the safe and has never been carried and never will.

Buck 303 for the last 35-40 years. Sharpest knife I own.

Buck 303
My dad gave me one for my 13th birthday 39 years ago. I was fishing a pond farm in a John boat in high school and had it sitting on top of my tackle box. Leaned over to pull a bass in and “bloop” in the water it went.
I bought another one a few years later. It’s a good knife.

The American made Bucks are my favorite, the warranty is great plus you have a pretty good selection of steels to choose from.

I just started getting into a few different Case knives.....they just remind me of my Pawpaw.... I just bought a Case bonestag barlow as a edc and love it, it's small and compact and sharp as anything around

My dad always had a small 3 blade Case knife on him.
He’d lose it and go buy another. He died several years ago and have all of his old ones. Neat looking at them every now and then.
I have a nice old hen and rooster 3 blade but never carry it. I normally carry a lock blade as my edc. My favorite is my Benchmade Bugout. But I have a Zero tolerance that I like a lot and several spyderco. I bought a bunch a couple of years ago when they had a seconds sale.

I carry a small Case daily. Eventually I’ll misplace it and dutifully buy another. Been doing it for years
