Saints value

There isn't anyone in the state of LA that has $4 billion. Stop with the Mannings, Drew Brees, Bradshaw, or Graves. Does anyone know exactly how much those mentioned have? I can assure you, they dont. Yeah, I know, Raising Canes is worth blah blah blah. Sorry to piss on your parade, but nobody in the state has that kind of money. If Gayle sells, she should have terms to keep the franchise in NOLA. BTW, there really isn't a relocation destination. Portland? Please. San Antonio? Jerry Jones will never allow that to happen. The dude from Houston wants the team. We shall see. Merry Xmas

If I had 5 billion dollars, I would have Mickey Loomis stuffed into a river parish disposal compactor. POS.

If the Saints are sold, it would be sold to a private equity group. The Saints would get a slick corporate rebrand while fielding the cheapest team possible to pump up the value before being sold to a Dubai prince or another PE firm who would move the team to San Antonio or Mexico City.
Is that what people want or are people just to damn stupid to think before opening their dumbfü@k mouths?!?! Damn it, this board reeks of idiots sometimes.
Merry Christmas, yall.

They aren't going anywhere. Relocation has to be a 100 % vote by the owners. Jones ain't letting it happen. Mexico City? Yeah right. Good luck getting players families to move there. The team is stuck with her until she puts the for sale sign on Airline Hwy.

There is nothing that can guarantee this. I know you guys want to beat that drum but it's a fallacy. If someone buys the team, they can immediately demand a new stadium and then allow other cities to start the vetting process.
I know you all love the Superdome but it's literally almost 50 years old. We can fix it up over and over and over again, but until it's razed to the ground, the owner of the team can flex their muscles.
We had a chance before putting $400 million dollar bandaids on the Dome again and again. Now, it's going to be the biggest move any new owner can flex.

Completely correct, if you want the Saints to stay stope electing Latoya types as mayor. The city is void of meaningful business and high achievers.
When Jerry Jones is your ace in the hole, you have no argument.
Gayle thus far has proven to be a horrific management owner on top of her miserable experience in interior decorating.
These are dangerous times for the Saints; fan interest has kept them as a NFL market. Running Loomis back will further dwindle season ticket sales and counting on opposing fans to fill the 20-40% of stadium seats is a losing proposition.
Apathy will lead to media reports saying NOLA is too small to support a team and the plethora of America’s billionaires will be lying in wait to buy and move the team.

I'm pretty sure it is 75% of the owners, so 24 of 32. Jerry's influence is only what he can persuade other owners to do. And the league will strongarm owners to do whatever they think is best. The Mexico City Saints might intrigue the league office.
Let's hope we can get a consortium of investors who want to keep the Saints in NOLA.

Relocation does not need 100% owner approval.

I would agree with you but the thing is as long as New Orleans remains in the Super Bowl rotation and keeps winning bids that argument will hold no water no matter who the team owner is. Once if your ever hear the talking point that New Orleans isn't viable Super Bowl destination or the stadium is supbar and not worthy then you know their days are numbered unless a new stadium is built.

Mexico? Some of you need professional help. You honestly believe a player's wife would want to move to that dump of a city? shite air to breathe, and the crime is 10x worse as NOLA.

Mexico is not a city.

Players wives would be fine with the extra 130 million people in Mexico that would elevate viewership and the future TV contracts that 2/3 automatically go to player salaries (forced raising of cap).
NOLA is not much safer by comparison.

I'm not buying he has that kind of cash.

One person I saw mentioned recently that would have the cash to do it, is Tillman Fertitia. He was just appointed ambassador to Italy.
Even though he is a Houstonian, he has to keep the team in New Orleans because it would be a perfect match for his Louisiana and Mississippi. He could even wrangle the Caesars name off of the dome in exchange for the Golden Nugget Superdome.

If the NFL would allow the Saints to be publicly owned like the Packers then Louisiana shareholders could buy it and collectively force it to stay in NOLA.
