I have a CVA Scout .35 Whelen Im putting a Vortex Crossfire II 6-18x44. Which scope rings do you guys recommend?

Have used Warne rings on my last couple of rifles and never had a problem.

First thing - take the base off that it came with, degrease everything with brake cleaner, and re-install everything with blue loctite. EVERY scout 2 i ever shot (5 or 6 of them) had the factory base come loose. Did the above and they were fine after.
For the rings I don't think it matters much. I had warne steel vertical splits on mine and they were fine.
Heed my advice above about the factory base. Its fine, but you must remove and reinstall it properly.

If it were me, I’d probably go with DNZ, but I have plenty with Leupold rings. I also put some Warne rings on a 30-30 recently.
ETA: didn’t realize how expensive DNZ got. I’d probably go Leupold. Although anything steel is going to hold up better than the scope will.

I’m going to give the Leupold Mark AR style mount a go with that Swarovski scope I have coming in.
Aero makes a lightweight mount. But with a 35 whelen, that could be a bit much for that.

Throw away whatever base came with it. I have DNZ one piece on my 35 whelen and have been happy. Like others have said, blue loctite everything.

Can you send that DNZ one piece mount information over?

For guns that don’t have a rail or I don’t want to put a rail on them, I use the dnz one piece. If you’re willing to put a rail there’s a ton of good pic rings out there.

Someone on this board told me the DNZ 1 piece for the 35 whelen years ago. Highly recommend it. They said 1 piece because of the recoil

Favorite are American Rifle but they are pricey. Did put them on my 1895 sbl though.

I’ve always been happy with my Warnes. I think my next rifle is going to be an ultra light and I’ll go with Talleys.

I’ve pretty much gone to Burris Signature Zee rings on the last several rifles I’ve bought.

I like Warne mountain techs

Whatever you do, don't get Monstrum.
I was trying to be a cheap arse with my muzzleloader earlier this year. Got Monstrum rings because a coworker reccomended then. Couldn't figure out why my gun wasn't grouping because the FPS on the chrono was super consistent. It's kind of embarrassing how many shots I took before I noticed this. Everything was torqued properly.
Luckily the Scruggs near where I was shooting had a set of Leupold 34 mm rings.

I’m no fan of cheap rings, but the Bluetooth front ring probably didn’t help.

DNZ one piece hands down.

It didn't start out as a Bluetooth.
