The 2017 Tennessee shite show after they fired Butch Jones. They had basically hired Schiano, their fans revolted once it started leaking he was the hire, so they had to back out. Then their AD went rogue and was going to hire Leach but got fired before the contract could be signed.
So they ended up with Jeremy Pruitt
That was the most chaotic coaching search I can remember

Underrated was Les to Michigan part 2 in 2011 with Pelini being rumored as his replacement
2009-10 cycle was nuts with Leach and Mangino fired, Carroll leaving USC, Kiffin ditching Tennessee, Dooley aka Young Saban to Tennessee, Kelly to ND, rumors of Urban leaving UF for “health reasons,” which was put off a year, and drumroll... Billy Gonzales to LSU as WR coach/PSG to bring Urban’s offense to save Crowton’s offense
