He would have made the playoffs in the current format since 2014
2015
2018
2020
2021

Two of those ND teams finished 14th and 15th respectively in 2016 and 2017.

3 of the last 7 opportunities with LSU being a complete rebuild.

Then the unlimited transfer portal happened, La NIL Law was pure shite until 2023. We found out how truly screwed up it was for NIL at LSU this summer and how the NIL dollars were woeful for football compared to other SEC schools at the top 1/2.

With No unlimited transfer portal and NIL, LSU would have been in 2018 at 12 and 2019 (of course).

With his current contract I can’t see us cutting bait until 2027 at the earliest if he doesn’t make a step change this next season, the natives will start a fire but he isn’t getting burned at the stake no earlier than 2027. Considering he is ponying up his own money to the tune of 1MM per year for improvements meaning he is making 9MM/ year, less than a whole bunch of coaches including several in the SEC.

sorry, you don't win the West with a COMPLETE rebuild. Now, they have gone downhill since, so to speak.

complete rebuild of culture to start with. Then it took 2 fricking seasons to fill out the 85 man roster from the 38 scholarship players. His coaching took what was left and brought in some players as well as started 2 true freshman tackles he had to keep (you forgot about that didn’t you and Perkins starting. And the shitty game at Arky that Perk saved the team on.
Then there was the fact that players like McGlothern was booted because the culture was pure shite when that fat arse shrimp boot wearing moron.
Lucky he pulled over Brooks.

This team had 3 first time players RS freshman at all inside positions against UF.
Just look at the Dellinger and CJ Daniels injuries and get back with me on losses at that time.

You actually making a point for him to be honest.

LSU in that time frame would have made 12 team playoff 2 times in last 13 years. We haven’t been elite in a while sustained

It was a complete rebuild, dude. Look at the facts of the matter and condition of the team; not some weird, arbitrary notion that states “you don’t win the west with a complete rebuild”.

Yes. Yes I am

And also acknowledging if he doesn’t make some steps with the funding increase and talent he has brought in this cycle - which will be JRs in 2027, would make or break. That also means his contract would be minimal by then.

His teams would have went to the playoffs in this format ! And did in the other format ! In this format you might play some shitty team like ND did tonight! Strength of schedule sound familiar? It’s not just LSU it’s a lot more teams dealing with this shite ! And you
Know what they are doing ? Doing what everyone else is now paying players! It’s what you have to do now kids don’t want to be developed! They want money!

From 2017-2021, ND went 1-6 against Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, and Michigan. They weren’t soft. They just got beat by teams with far more talent. They were 7-3 against other teams that finished ranked with no losses to teams who finished unranked.

I love how people are bending over backwards to try to fight the fact that ND looks to be a much better team without BK than they were with him. They no longer look soft. And here we sit watching the playoffs with LSU on the sideline. 12 team playoff with a lot more margin for error and still can’t make it.

Who were recruited by Orgeron and O maintained contact with even after being fired (you forgot about that didn't you).

National Championship winning coach vs Fat Kelly

Miles = moron = NC
O = moron = NC
BK = football savant = Texas Bowl

UF had a true freshman on a leg and a half. Zero rushing attempts

Stop making excuses for this overpaid coach.

8-4 and watching the playoffs again and he's gone. Looks like y'all hired the wrong ND coach.

Look ND is an anomaly. Plays a few tough games per year and is considered a blue-blood by many. Therefore they get ranked too high and will now be one of the top 12 teams for the playoffs. ND will never win another Natty nor come close.

CBK knows that and he at least wants to make that chase at LSU.

Last, the fact the SEC only got 3 teams into the playoffs is a travesty.
