Maybe BK is good in the old cfb format and certain program cultures. He looks very lost and a forced fit at LSU. Very reactive. Not proactive. A few steps behind with questionable in-game coaching decisions.

sorry, you don't win the West with a COMPLETE rebuild.

Technically, I guess you are correct. He won the west with the biggest rebuild LSU has had since at least 2000 (bigger than that one), probably closer to 1996 though I think Kelly had the closest thing to a COMPLETE rebuild LSU has seen in my lifetime which starts near the beginnings of the Charlie Mac era.

How is the 2022 rebuild when he took over any different from this year?

He had a majority of starters return, but no depth.

Look at his gaps coming in 0 OTs, a defensive backfield of transfers, no proven TE, and no depth

Now where are his gaps he's filling with freshmen
and portal players? Same places, and quality depth will be an issue again.

From 2017-2021, ND went 1-6 against Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, and Michigan. They weren’t soft. They just got beat by teams with far more talent. They were 7-3 against other teams that finished ranked with no losses to teams who finished unranked.

From 2022-2024, LSU went 2-5 against Alabama, Texas A&M, and Georgia.

He has access to more talent here and is still unable to beat average to elite teams.

But hey, glad he padded his resume at ND and beat up on the service academies, Michigan State, and the ACC bottom dwellers.

It takes time to rebuild the talent level of a team when the pantry was left bare. The clock is ticking, but it has not run out yet. He has beaten more talented/better teams in his time here (but also lost some winnable ones). The blanket condemnation that he never wins big games is inaccurate.

He’s a 63-year-old coach and the biggest win of his career is a regular season win over Alabama.

I’m glad he won the game. But it is entirely accurate to say Kelly has not, and cannot, win big games.

. Tell me how he looks lost moron? What about him questionable in game decision like what?
People just fricking make up bullshite out of their opinion like it’s fact. Did you look at all the stats for every fricking call?
Is a the game of statistics and every coach does it.
I don’t give a frick how he sound or what he looks like or any of that. All I give a frick about is winning. Saban was the biggest Yankee and freaking redneck at the same time. Y’all accepted him. Then you had a fricking moron and O that burned down OM and you knew he was gonna burn down LSU. But yet people accepted that bullshite.

That’s only true if you narrowly define what constitutes a big game to fit your narrative. He won 2 Division II NCs. He won the MAC Championship. He won the Big East. If he was inherently incapable of winning big games none of that would be true. It’s perfectly fine if you want to argue that success at lower levels does not necessarily translate to success at higher levels, but you can’t say he didn’t achieve at the highest level possible at each of those prior stops.

Even if you confine the argument to ND and LSU, his biggest win was over Clemson in 2020. He didn’t win the rematch in the ACC title game, but Clemson was a significantly more talented team coming off a CFP runner-up and CFP title the previous two seasons. Limiting the argument to postseason appearances in which ND was completely outmanned tells us nothing about his ability to win when his team is evenly matched. ND not being in a conference left him with no opportunities to play “big games” there.
