What are the best light gathering binoculars?

I have some that look about like that.
Celestron 8x56's. Made for stargazing, excellent for low light use.

What’s your budget?
How far are you planning on looking at something?
What do you want to see? Just a deer or be able to count points and spread?
Swarovski 10x50s are some of the best I have ever looked through. If I spent more time glassing I would have a pair.

Just ordered my wife a pair of Vortex Viper HD’s in 10x50 for Christmas. She liked my Vortex diamondbacks in 10x50 so I got her the Vipers.

Leica
Swarovski
Consider a pair of the image stabilizing binos or a pair with built in range finder.

Have you spent any time withthese? Its intriguing and the reviews are good. I've just never seen them in person.

No but interested. 18x without bracing your elbows would be amazing. I use my 15x a good bit, but not easy to free hand.

I’ve had or messed with pretty much every pair of the Zulu 6s. Do you have any questions about them?

Got some Maven B.6 last season that have been sharp as hell.

I picked up some vortex razor hd this year and have been impressed

I have the Swarovski 8.5x42 EL binoculars and the 8x42 EL Range binoculars and they both work quite well in low light situations. A larger objective lens would be more beneficial for twilight viewing though. The Zeiss HT 8x54 or Steiner 8x56 Nighthunter would be hard to beat.

Take a look at Maven. 25% off right now.

I’m on their email list.
It was a flash sale for yesterday only.
Sorry about that.
Day late. Dollar short.

Just whether or not it's as awesome as it sounds

They are incredible man, I hand them to people with them off and ask what they think. Then I turn them on and they can’t believe it. Imagine one handing 16s with no shake.
The low light performance in x42s wasn’t stellar and the eye placement was a little finicky in the 16s. The 12s had an incredibly narrow fov but they were easier to get behind. I have the 14x50s right now and recently sold my 16x42s.
I use them for everything, ocassionally I’ll take some small non stabilized 8s bowhunting and I could maybe be convinced to tote a tripod and spotter if I had an early mule deer tag or something where you’ll be glassing for 10 hours.

I love my 10x42 Swaro EL’s. They seem to be fine at legal shooting light.

Most of us aren’t in the right tax bracket for that

OP, here’s a deal on Leupold BX-4 12x50s… https://www.eurooptic.com/Leupold-BX-4-Pro-Guide-HD-12x50mm-Roof-Shadow-Gray-172675.aspx I’ve had to convince myself multiple times that I do not need a 3rd pair of binoculars.
ETA: If I was hunting out west a lot and spent a ton of time glassing, I’d spend money on some Swaros, but I find it hard to justify spending that much to hunt whitetails in LA and MS.

Oh man........I don't need a "third pair" of binoculars either, but that's a REALLY tempting price. I use a pair of 12X Vortex Diamondbacks a lot on prairie dog hunts. I can't imagine how nice the Leupolds would be.
