He never played a down for them and we recruited 3 safeties in that class that were rated higher and have already lost 2 of them to the portal.
We don't need bodies at safety, we need experience. If we are going to grab inexperienced guys, then I hope Toviano and Spears get to play in the bowl game so we know where we stand for next year.

Is anyone else really bothered by the fact that this guy’s team is in the CFP and he’s opting out to enter the portal? That’s so shitty. College football is ruined.

With the calendar the way it is players feel like they need to enter before all of the spots at top schools fill up

Also, they want to be able to enroll in their new school for the start of the next semester to allow them to participate in offseason workouts and spring practice. At most schools the next semester starts in early/mid January. If OSU wins on Saturday, the earliest their season will end is Jan 1. That's both after the date the portal closes and probably too late to be enrolled for the next semester at a new school.

Which is odd because OSU is the next closest thing to DBU, they will say it is DBU and have a solid debate.
