Smart strategy by the state. It’s a relatively small amount of money but using it for a good cause while also benefitting the players. Win-win.

The person who responded is claiming corruption, but this seems to be a more traditional NIL deal. They're literally trying to get recognizable faces for the anti-vaping campaign. And they shouldn't expect athletes to donate their time.

This is literally NIL as intended.

Why is ANY of this settlement going to colleges? And then, to football pay to play nonsense?
Illegal.

The money is going to football players who are role models and influencers to the demographic targeted by the vape companies. They are paying them for promoting an anti-vaping campaign for the state. Seems pretty straight forward.

This is Jeff Landry testing the waters to see what they can get away with.

Please don’t cut our taxes. Just give it to 19 year old kids who throw and catch a football. Money well spent. FML

Many young people vaping or considering vaping will listen to college athletes before listening to actors/actresses. politicians, etc. The motivation is to have a positive influence on the young people.

It’s NIL being used how it was designed by letter of the law.

Also smart by the state the most recognized people are going to be LSU football players. The lil bros are getting a piece as well
