Not much left in the portal at Safety.
Zechariah Poyser & Dillon Thieneman were the big names.
Might just need to watch for any legit Safeties to enter the portal now.

Only other name I've seen is the Safety from South Florida - Tawfiq Byard.
He seemed to have a decent year statistically, but I know nothing about him other than that.

I have seen us linked with Tawfiq Byard from South Florida recently.
Devin Turner from Northwestern was a guy that we were interested in early on. Not sure anymore.

orrrrrrrr Can we develop our own players? The cup is not bare. Deshawn Spears was a top 100 overall player at safety, and incoming freshman Jhase Thomas was the no.1 safety in Louisiana and is a freak athlete, the Vt transfer we just got Dehlane has safety experience maybe we can move him there.

It seems the coaches feel better about their options at S than fans do. I’m hoping at least part of that is they know Perkins is returning.
