I knew him well at Stanislaus before he went to Catholic. Always seemed like a decent guy. I am curious if the move from FSU was not by choice after this year.

I know him too. He was tied at the hip to Alex Atkins for a while, who was fired. I’m not sure if Gabe was fired by extension or was just looking to get out of a rough situation while getting back closer to home.

If I remember correctly, Gabe was the OC at Itawamba Community College and Atkins was their OL coach.

Based off of his time at Catholic, we know he knows how to recruit. Will be interesting to see how the high school coaches accept him
