If you thought that Jeanty should’ve won the Heisman instead of Hunter, you’re a racist.

Never mind that a black player won the Heisman, it’s all about context. Oh, it’s also about mental gymnastics. So tired of this stuff appearing at every turn. Read the comments because a helluva lot of people agree with him.

Jeanty is the exact definition of hardworking and humble. Took less money to stay at Boise and put himself in their history books.

Jeanty got robbed, plain and simple. And I think Hunter is a great player

The hate for Deion and now Hunter on this board has been surprising. It's not racism but it's like a hatred of people being unique. Same reason that people dislike Patty Mac and Aaron Rodgers and even my posting style.

Bunch of fuddy duddy PFG wearing basic bros on here. We just can't let it deter us. To that end, I look forward to posting my official "Enigma: Aaron Rodgers" thread tomorrow and receiving ALL the heckin downvotes. I embrace the downvotes

If you have to start out with “it’s rooted in racism”, it probably is not racism.

And didn’t excel like this on both sides of the ball.

No, not necessarily. But a lot of the hate Travis gets is from people who hate Deion. They hate Deion so much, they refuse to acknowledge hardly a single positive thing about him or any of his players. Travis gets an extension of this hate.

It's totally fine to think Jeanty deserved the heisman. But some of the arguments some people have used to discredit Travis is so intellectually dishonest, it's something else.

Humility, while an honorable trait, doesn't and shouldn't win you a Heisman. I would have voted for Jeanty, but it wasn't a robbery. Hunter is a worthy winner.

He plays RUNNING BACK. It's undeniably the least important position on the field of the 22 regular positions. It's the most plug and play position in all of sports. It's so irrelevant that you can replace the best RB in pro football with a 4th string undrafted rookie and not miss a beat with your core playbook.

Meanwhile TH12 plays TWO of the five most important positions in football, and is best in the country at both of them.

Sucks they were the same year because they were both awesome.

People are severely underestimating Hunter’s ability to play every snap on both sides of the ball and do it at such a high level. Him playing two seasons with relatively no injuries is a miracle and a testament to his preparation off the field.

I would have been happy with either winning

That also describes Travis.

This also describes Travis. He took less money to go to an HBCU. Then, he transferred to a 1-11 Colorado team.

The irony is black people have only been life long Colorado fans for the past two years because of Deion and black culture.

I may be in minority bc I actually wanted Hunter to win the Heisman and like watching CU play with all the drama around them…. Thought it was entertaining…

That being said calling people racist for having a different opinion is just dumb. It’s something a low IQ individual would do honestly…

Among the best in the country at WR.

He's the best CB in the country. His only weakness is his (lack of) height.

I think it’s the “Heisman bait” they used and the over-hype for Colorado and Deon. The Deon hate is slightly racist for sure.

There are and have been other great players that could have played both ways. Seems exploitative of Hunter to not allow him to focus on one side of the ball and exhaust himself for the sake of stats.

This also sucked about the MSB though. It sucks that most posters here hate Pat McAfee even though he is undeniably needed, and it sucks that they hated Deion so much.
