Stingley's season stats: 5 interceptions, 48 tackles (35 solo) & 17 pass defenses which ranks 2nd in the NFL.

I loved the Chase one. Our leadership was trying to suspend him and screw him over an alleged offseason drug test so he chunked the deuces. Chase was practicing with the team and going to play and the admins forced him to make a business decision by most reports.

Some said Chase or Stingley would not amount to much in the NFL? That’s hard to believe. Chase was the most dominant receiver we had ever seen at LSU. And everyone knew Stingley was a first-DB-off-the-board talent.
A few guys might have lashed out in anger in the days after learning these guys had abandoned the team, but I doubt anyone actually held those considered beliefs.

I 'member. A lot of folks were saying they were too soft for the NFL because they opted out. Can't really blame them. It was a smart move.

The man was a total shut down All American Corner as a freshman in 2019. Always been one of the best the second he stepped on campus.
