I swear I’m immune to a good start to the morning this morning I was all setup to hunt a new stand near a bottom with what appears to be tons of signs. Climb up the stand and no chair so I packed up, and headed to my best stand

Been hunting all weeknd since Friday morning. Been hot as hell.
Had a great hunt late yesterday evening, but my target buck came in about 3 minutes after responsible arrow slinging light.

Just want a slick head or something . Release finger is itchy.

Deer or hogs

Been hunting all weekend actually. Hogs are terrible. I’m about to drop $5k on a pulsar if they don’t get in the traps.

Either an xg50 or xp50 pro both with lrf. I already have a good tripod and the anvil 30 ball head. Just looking for an excuse to spend money.

Stayed at camp.

I know you're it not going to see any deer if you stay at camp but I've never had luck hunting in tee-shirt temps in December. I won't be back until after Christmas and while I don't place much faith in long range forecast but the 15-day shows it cooling off by then, hopefully just in time for there to be a little loving on their mind

Last night I said I wasn't hunting today, was supposed to rain all day. Hit the neighborhood Christmas party, couple of drinks, wasn't waking up at 3. But I wake up at 7 and it looks like the rain is going to end. Left the house just after 8, in a new spot and tree I like by 10. Let's get it done! I hope they move after sitting through rains all night.

Let an arrow fly around 7am. Nice sized cowhorn spike. I’ll spare the deer pictures and show you the arrow and entrance/exit wounds. Exodus did some damage on the pass through!

will be on the sit starting next week til end of January....I gotta feeling it will be a good rut this year! All signs are in the right direction.

Need some more hard fronts to make it down and get em going.....

Hot as hell, slightly breezy

I slept in this morning. That walk yesterday had me whooped. I needed to run to town and wash clothes, and go pull a camera anyway. Also, I did some homework and found a different access point that cut my walk from 1.8 miles, down to just over a half mile. I can easily manage that, even in this heat.
I’m about to get set up in my saddle over this big bottom I’ve been hunting, but I’m going to move down a little from where I’ve been. It’ll put me closer to where I saw the deer crossing yesterday morning.
