Yep nothing like winning your conference championship and then losing your whole team immediately after to the portal. Good times in college football for sure

They didn’t allow anything. Federal judge issued a TRO against the NCAA concerning putting limits on transfers.
This has been brought up a couple dozen times on this board but people keep posting this nonsense

This is quite sad if true. There is undoubtedly a senior on Marshall that was expecting to play their last ever football game. If we are truly to the point of teams possibly dropping out of bowls because of opt outs or transfers, something needs to change.

This is not the norm, and it is happening more because of Marshall's inept athletic department. The transfer portal just enabled this and is a part of the problem, but it's not the main cause of this situation. What other teams are having this issue?

If this continues, it will become just like the FCS. Unless you make the playoffs, your season is over. The bowl games will cease to exist.

They've been pointless exhibitions for over 20 years.
At their peak, it was fun to have so many games on TV all week. But now that just about every FBS game the entire season is televised without much barrier to entry, it doesn't hit the same.

The fans are the ones that have tons of power in my opinion. If people would just stop attending games until they put some much needed changes/rules in place, the ncaa/courts would hop on it real quick.

Portal shouldn’t open until the final game of season is played. I know that delays spring enrollees but this is crazy.

I think a team should get a two-year bowl eligibility ban if you bail on a bowl after accepting the bid.

The morons aren't interested in the facts of the situation. They just want to scream at the sky.
Marshall screws over their head coach. Head coach leaves. Players are pissed at the treatment of their coach and leave as well. The rant.... COLLEGE FOOTBALL IS DEAD!!!
Like teams everywhere are pulling out of bowl games.
