I don’t think of this as a music board topic, so much as a holiday season discussion.

In “the most wonderful time of the year” (and I’m thinking of the Andy Williams version), who the frick tells scary ghost stories at Christmastime?

The best two songs are The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas by Sinatra, and it’s not particularly close.

No overanalysis needed.

But on that same note, why wouldn't the grinch be mean?

I mean they're singing a whole song about what a shitty loser he is.

bumpa-da-bumpa-da-bump

You're a shite one,
Mr. grinch.
That's why, your wife, left you!
She hated all your family and your stupid hobbies too,
Mr. Gri-INCH,
And by the way,
She was unsatisfied in bed!

I mean that just feels personal

“He sees you when you're sleeping
He knows when you're awake”

That’s totally normal for an old fat guy to be watching children as they sleep.

Perry Como, There’s No Place Like Home For The Holidays. That’s as good as it gets.

I like to keep it simple. I just let the spirit ring and then later, we’ll have some frickin pie and do some caroling.

You’re a Mean One Mr Grinch is the OG diss track.

You're a rotter, Mr. Grinch.
You're the king of sinful sots!
Your heart's a dead tomato splotched
With moldy purple spots, Mr. Grinch.
Your soul is an appalling dump heap
Overflowing with the most disgraceful assortment of deplorable rubbish imaginable
Mangled up in tangled up knots!
You nauseate me, Mr. Grinch,
With a nauseous super "naus!"
You're a crooked dirty jockey,
And you drive a crooked horse, Mr. Grinch.

Jingle Bells is not the title of the song & isn't a Christmas song

One Horse Open Sleigh is a Thanksgiving song

Those are great. Two of my favorite traditional songs. I’m a big fan of Please Come Home for Christmas by Charles Brown. Bells will be ringing up in this bitch.
