Is he even projected to go in the 1st round?

Even #6 pick Malik Nabers played a few snaps last year to pass Josh Reed for most career rec yds (3,003).

Mason needs 25 yds to pass Thad Moss for most yds by a TE in a season (570).
Currently has 546

Would put him at #1 for every category for LSU TEs except career TDs (10).
Currently has 6

That’s worth jeopardizing a nfl career

This is dumb as shite. It's an exhibition game and that kid can't do anything to improve his stock.

So overblown.. Brian Thomas had 8 rec, 98 yds, & 2 TDs in the bowl game last year before going in the 1st round

Never stopped kids in the past before Fournette.

Meanwhile Prime has his two projected top 10 picks playing against BYU in the Alamo Bowl

Why get hurt? I'd rather see Trey'Dez play a full game at TE and see what we have going into next year. Mason was a great tiger, now go be a great pro!

Just because the risk of career changing injury may be low doesn't mean it does not exist. It only takes one play.

Do I, as a fan, want to see him play? Sure. But I'm never going to fault a guy for doing what he thinks is best for his life/career.

Are we sure that even happens? Did Slade Nagle already leave for Houston?

Just leaving the house is also jeopardizing his career. Maybe these guys shoudl wrap themselves in bubble wrap until the draft just to be safe.

That's great and I appreciate him doing that. Jaylon Smith lost out on tens of millions of dollars by playing in the bowl game.

He could have played another year at ND. He chose to go & still went in the 2nd round

So overblown until an ACL in a meaningless exhibition game. These guys don't owe Kelly or LSU anything at this point in their lives.

It's entirely up to him as it should be. It's a totally meaningless game but if he wants to play in it, sure. If not, oh well, who cares.

This is retarded. You want him to risk his NFL career for LSU's single season tight end receiving record?
