If forced to make an appearance, do you "grey rock" or,

I’m serious when I ask what this is exactly?
Are you having a party to celebrate the worst program that’s ever existed and may have put nails in some companies coffins?

It’s their religion.
Use your religion as an excuse not to go and then find a new job.

I worked at one of the most woke companies in the world and never had a DEI celebration.
Not sure what that even means?

DEI will resurface with another name in the culture war, after it has lost this battle.
They won’t go away. They are TOO MUCH MONEY and destroyed too many lives to just quit.
Plus, Americans’ memories are too short.
It comes back sometime soon.

I still don’t understand how it’s legal to promote and hire based on gender and race.

Guess the Supreme Court hasn’t gotten to it yet

The theme is for normal people to discover their unconscious biases against special people based off of their appearance.
So we should see this person as normal
And this person as also normal

So we should see this person as normal
And this person as also normal

Yeah I know I sat through years of being indirectly blamed as a white guy for being biased while everyone else in the room was indirectly excused for their biases because in effect they’d had to deal with white males for centuries.
My question is this is a DEI party? What happens at such an event.

Just delete the email inviting you.

I left a company after three years last year partially because of their wokeness. We'd have emails and Slacks pushing Hispanic Heritage, Gay Pride month, transgender awareness, black history (though this one doesn't really bother me as much), and all sorts of other minority shite ALL THE TIME. They even set up a voluntary zoom Transgender Drag Show at the end of June last year.
This company is based in New York City one block from Ground Zero. Each year I was there, there wasn't a SINGLE POST regarding September 11th. Not one mention of it. When I brought this up to my manager, he was very uncomfortable acknowledging that the company celebrates everything else but never mentions 9/11 when their offices are ONE BLOCK from the WTC.
It was disgusting.

I'm sure everyone just sits around and complains about straight white men.

It has already started. They just push them under the Human Resources umbrella and give them another creative title that doesn't stick out as much

Clearly you didn't because my company is pretty woke and had whole month dedicated to DEI celebrations.

I'd definitely call in sick.
