This was the right choice! Bama lost to 2 unranked teams, they were dominated in those 2 losses. Frick bama!

I think that if conference championship games are here to stay - and I wish they would go in favor of more regular season conference games - then there's a bigger conversation about their meaning. If they had put Bama in, then the conference championship games become diminished. Yesterday, two of those games were absolutely awesome. Days like that shouldn't be rendered pointless. For once, Bama's brand equity wasn't enough

If SMU played Alabama, it would come down to if SMU could contain Milroe RUNNING. His passing is inconsistent to be generous! And if you are referring to SMU, their rise was not luck. Their entire OL came from the portal. They got several Miami players to transfer to them. IF you watched the game, they looked every bit as athletic as Clemson did. And if you watched Alabama, you should have seen a drastic downgrading of their OL and DLs. Any team that stopped Milroe running had a chance to beat them. Of course, LSU didn't control his running so LSU couldn't win that game.

SMU blew the game last night by not kicking a ball into endzone(16 secs left) and allowed Clemson to make a great return to set up the winning 55 yder.
That mistake kicked Bama out because I think SMU had Clemson on their heels. Had it gone into OT, SMU would have won and Clemson wouldn't have made the top 12.
