Remembering one thing about 9/11

If I heard it once I heard it a 100 times back then. "I'm so glad we have Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and Condaleeza Rice in charge". Heard it in every day conversation and all the time on talk radio.
Too bad we didn't have a crystal ball at the time.

The policies that were created post 9/11 killed way more folks than the terrorist did that day, just a coincidence I'm sure.

Well the binary choice then was we could have had President Al Gore and his administration.
Also, at the onset team Bush did a pretty decent job. Especially with what the public knew at the time.

I can find justification for 9/11 being a surprise to American officials in every event that day EXCEPT WTC7. There's too many coincidences for that one to have simply been a casualty of being hit by debris.
I can get behind American officials being caught off guard.
I can get behind it being a massive secret plot that we didn't catch wind of.
I can get behind the towers falling the way they did. Though not likely and I never would've guessed it, I can get behind the fires being too hot for building codes in the 1970's to withstand.
I can get behind a plane also going into the Pentagon in the exact same part of the building that had recently been fortified for a terror attack.
What I can't get behind is using the same argument of the fires being hot enough to weaken the steel in the towers also being hot enough in WTC 7 to cause it to collapse the way it did - as if in a controlled explosion. The secret service and CIA both had offices and documents inside that building. The towers were hit by jets and had burning jet fuel inside them - WTC 7 was simply hit by debris from the collapsing towers and caught fire. That building collapsing the way it did from those fires is ridiculous and I'm insulted that my government believes I'm stupid enough to believe that this building was just a coincidence.

Walking out of the doors of the Chairman's Flag room on the 9th corridor onto the Pentagon Parade ground thinking that if the terrorists were smart, they'd have someone there with a machine gun to do the real damage of taking out the people...

Hopefully more truth will come out about 911 too. There is a long list of things over the years that we have been misled about.
