Well if you really think about it, a lot of very wealthy are actually really good with business and people so there’s that.

Ambassadorships have been political payoffs for more than a century.
It’s a figurehead position.
There are career diplomats doing the actual work.
This is especially true with our allied countries. At places where actual diplomacy is needed, real ambassadors are appointed.
