“Per Rapoport. Saints fear season ending injury “
Sucks. He may be done and not part of the rebuild.
ETA. Confirmed out for season.
I hope he busts his arse in rehab and comes back. Yeah, he won’t be the same. But he’s the type of player we need to help us build for the future. Great leader and I’m sure he will still make a small impact on the field if he’s healthy.

Unless he retires, how is he not part of a rebuild?

He’s 35 years old man. What he does isn’t at all normal for a player his age. And yes I know there was less wear and tear when he was younger.
You simply can’t plan on a guy in his mid 30s toting the ball violently even 5-10x a game.

Shame b/c Kubiak figured out the perfect way to use him. He fits in with the flow of the offense better than the way SP used him. It disrupted Brees and the offense subbing Brees out.
He woukd have been an absolute monster a few years ago in his prime with the way he is being used now.

Terrible.
He’s the heart and soul of this franchise at the moment IMO

Just speCRAPular. I'm really starting to think God Himself hates this team.

Trade him. He is injury prone, yet got to be worth something?

Nobody will trade for a mid 30s gadget player with bad knees

If it is true that he already is in surgery, he’s career is over!

Should help with the tank at least

When the time comes, he needs to be in the ring of fame for the Saints. The original do it all player!

Looked like he get knocked out too, so concussion and potentially season ending knee injury on the same play is just all around bad luck, or dare I say Voodoo?!
He did look different going off the field yesterday. Age, injuries, salary all factored in I too believe this was the last time we see him wearing a Saints jersey or any NFL jersey for that matter. As great of an asset as he has been he still is not part of the needed rebuild considering the aforementioned reasons.
Hats off to a great Saint though! Definitely enjoyed watching him over the years!

He is injury prone,
He's the best football player on the field everytime he plays the game. I'd like to see any player take that hit and walk away from it.
