Indians are stealing tech industry jobs from Americans like Mexicans take blue collar jobs

Everyone points at illegal immigration from Mexico/Central America and how it steals jobs away from blue collar workers, trades and unskilled labor jobs, - which is a great thing IMO to get upset about, but no one seems to get as upset about Indians coming to the US to take away all of the jobs in the tech industry.
My LinkedIn page is a blood bath. I myself got laid off in 2020 and 2022 and my job was outsourced to India both times, and got laid off again in February 2024 and was replaced onsite by an Indian. So many of my former co-workers and contacts all out of work. Many of which who got laid off with me in February still out of work.
The Dallas-Fort Worth area sucks if you work in IT or any tech related roles. My last job, 100% of the IT department and all but one of the data engineering department was Indian. North Dallas has been taken over by Indians, the Valley Ranch/Coppell area might as well be renamed New New Dehli. Indians have taken over all the tech jobs, all of your interviews are conducted by Indian hiring managers who discriminate against non-Indians. They only want to hire other Indians, specifically Indians from their own caste or village.
For me it got so bad I stopped looking for jobs in Dallas Fort Worth and got a job in Miami, less Indians to compete with here, for now.... hopefully Ron DeSantis doesn't have his stupid ribbon cutting ceremonies with Indians like Greg Abbott does while Abbott brags about how many Indians he is importing into Texas. It's all a giant grift... corporations exploit Indians for cheap labor, and there are Indian staffing firms that place H1B candidates and receive kickbacks. Spare me the bullshite about how there aren't enough qualified Americans for these jobs so we have to import Indians for them. Not true at all.

The legal immigration is about as bad as the illegal.

Half the pay and benefits

Our Economy is literally a house of cards. Fake economic numbers all over the place with revised numbers lower every single time. Most of the job creation the last 4 years have been not American citizens

Yep. My daughter in DFW with a computer science degree got laid off multiple times. I know McKesson wanted her to train her Indian replacement. She said know.
She's now teaching computer science (to a bunch of Indians).
My other daughter with a master's in data science, lost her job and can't get more than a phone interview.
She's thinking of becoming some sort of health tech, but she'd have to go back to school for that

Because Americans are lazy and spoiled.

Not to sound like an American hating a-hole but I have outsourced work to Indians and they are just as talented as Americans but they work 100 times harder than Americans

They should also sleep 15 to a house just to make a living also, right?

In a lot of ways its worse because the normies think that because its legal that its all good.
They fall for the lie that we are importing the best and brightest from India to fill roles that there aren't enough Americans for... total bullshite
The Indians I've worked with in my roles are utter trash co-workers. They are like robots... they can do the menial, repetitive tasks fine, but anything that requires communication, people skills, or problem solving when things go off track... they become totally useless
My old boss reached out to me after I got laid off and said it best... they can hire 8 Indians for 1 of you.

When you create a framework whereby it’s easy for people to be so, it’s only logical and natural that this is what you will get.

Been going on since around 2005. Many have relocated to the US.
Learn to code they said…
And what’s even more sad is the US funded the higher education system in India for years to hopefully create a society to buffer China.

The programming jobs are more in danger of being taken by AI but Indians are moving into the other sectors. Their government educates them for free so they come here with no debt and are willing to work long hours for low wages.

bullshite. They work like union workers. No responsibility. When it’s time to go home they go home no matter what be happening on the system.
I to managed 28 contractors for 8 years and they were impossible to take responsibility outside of “work” hours.
You are probably right you can get 8 workers for the price of 1 but it requires more then 1 to a 1 person job because they have to have a “group” to be able to work and get the job done. Again no personal responsibility.
Different culture. No hate but there are plenty of talented Americans that are extremely hard workers.

They basically made me train my Indian replacement or otherwise I wouldn't have gotten my 10 weeks of severance pay + vacation time paid out + bonus. The replacement definitely was not anywhere near as qualified as I was and was completely NOT ready to do the job once I left. But I did not give a single frick. You wanted to replace me with an Indian, should have replaced me with someone who was competent.

UT-Dallas should be renamed UT-Mumbai and rebranded as a satellite campus of some university there.

Sounds about right as I am in the data science/machine learning field. I couldn't get anything in the DFW area but got lots of bites from applications I sent in Florida, Nevada, and Arizona. I guess those states don't have governors like Greg Abbott who see to it to import all of Chennai into their states
It got to the point where if I saw the person I was going to be interviewing with was Indian, I'd withdraw from the process. Because every single time I have ever interviewed with an Indian its been a total nightmare. Like I am defending a master's thesis. Extremely hard, tough, unfair interviews as if they are purposely trying to disqualify me so they can say there are no qualified Americans so we must import my fellow caste/village members from India to fill this role.
Not once have I ever advanced to the next round of an interview process after I interviewed with an Indian.

Lol maybe naturalized Indian immigrants.
If you’re making that claim about offshore Indian developers I call BS.

Immigration needs to be halted for 20 years minimum from all places, and indefinitely from India and Israel

It’s not just workers immigrating to the U.S. and working here using visas, a large number of jobs are being sent overseas to contractors and locals who get a badge and become an employee. It’s not just India, either.
Companies will tell lies like wanting to set up an environment where work can “follow the sun” but it’s all about cutting labor costs. The international workers are not stakeholders in the U.S., much less the local communities where domestic employees are laid off. They usually aren’t consumers of the product and have no real loyalty to the company.
