Mosquito Control for a Party

Hey everyone!
We are having a pretty big Christmas party at our house next weekend and the mosquitos have been absolutely terrible right around dark and a bit after. Someone told me about some granules that you can spread around your yard to make a barrier, but he couldn't remember the name. He claims it really worked for a party he was at where outside of the barrier they were all over but inside there were little to none.
Do any of you have any experience with something like this?

Buy a large Thermacell and you can use whenever needed

you can spray Bifen on your walls and soffits. That's been pretty effective for me. Also, those foggers work pretty well for a much more temporary option.

The granules surely work. Will need rain to spread the effectiveness. Spaying liquid bifen 4-6’ up walls, fence etc helps, too. You can also hire out some pest control companies to go fog your yard etc which works great too till it rains.

I actually do the same year around except when it gets and stays cold where they are no longer an issue.
Only difference is I use the mosquito sniper system to apply the Bifen. I just find I get a better and quicker application specially when hitting the grass and shrubs/trees rather than when I used to a sprayer.

I know that in BR, you can call 311 to have a mosquito spray come by for free by appointment only. Check that and see if they can come the day of your event.

Why not just get a few cans of Raid Yard Gaurd fogger. That stuff has been around for decades, so somebody must be buying it!

I use bifen with great results by spraying the whole yard but make sure to avoid any flowers and any fruit/veg, that you will eat. It will kill bees.

Granules don't really do anything against mosquitoes. You need to spray the grass, but mainly vegetation (bushes, shrubs, potted plants, lower tree branches, etc) and underside to any overhangs or decks - this is where they hang out during the day.
Buy an oil based Bifenthrin product which is usually labels as "EXT" or "XT" .

Only permanent solution is to control standing water and use a 500+ PSI fog system that sprays althryns or pythryns around the entire property every few hours.
The backpack fogger/blower from Stihl will knock them down for 12-48 hours. I think they start at like $600. Don’t bother with the cheaper knockoffs.
Depending on the weather, a little wind will keep them at bay for the duration of a party.

They have a spray you can hook to the hose and you spray it on the grass and shrubs. It's a thome depot ortho makes it it should about 15 bucks
Also they a tube system called spartan you hang it up about 100 feet from where people are and it attracts the mosquitos on to the tube and they die.
They last about 2 months t

Won't a cold front, like we're getting next week, get rid of the mosquitoes?
