Oklahoma is obviously not scared of Bama like LSU is. I really believe a big part of LSU’s problem is mental. We have a way of always playing like shite as if we expect to lose against Bama.

What can be done to turn the tide so to speak? It feels like a cultural change is needed. A great leader has to step in and take the reins.

What exactly in my post do you believe to be incorrect?

Looking at recent history, they must be terrified of us instead.

Quick observation look at our defense vs OU's defense. We have mentally challenged juniors/seniors and they have the dudes required to be a top defense.

Nothing mental besides the actual talent of the players.

Nah, they just had the misfortune of going up against the greatest college football team of all time in 2019. There were many victims that year.

So Oklahoma has the talent to compete with Bama and LSU doesn’t?

Of course, that’s not the only recent history (I guess it’s a relative term) I’m hanging my hat on.

go back and somehow play 40% of our games against Shula and Franchione would be a good start I guess

OU’s wins came in 02 against a 3 loss Bama team, 03 against a horrible Bama team, 2013 in a meaningless bowl game, and 2024 against a Bama team with 3 losses so far. Quite the difference between that and playing them during the height of their run.

That’s the only time the two teams have played in the past 20 years. I wouldn’t really call that a trend. We’ll see how they do this Saturday.

That 3 loss Bama team from 2002 somehow crushed LSU 31-0 in Tiger Stadium. That actually proves my point. Thanks for the additional evidence.

How many times did OU play Bama with Saban at the helm?

It’s like saying LSU should be scared of GT, FSU and Nebraska too

It’s just a really dumb and lazy take. It might be factual, but it’s stupid.

Since Saban won the first natty there in 2009, Alabama is 195-24.

Of their 24 losses, LSU & Auburn have the most wins against them at 4 each.
OU has 2
So does A&M, Ole Miss, Clemson, & Tennessee.

Even the great UGA with Kirby Smart is 1-6 vs Bama

Plus, Bama has to get some points for this in the massive sample size we are discussing.

Not good enough for cbree?

Let’s just look at the last 10 years of teams vs Bama

Auburn 2-8
Ole Miss 2-8
Tennessee 2-9
LSU 2-9
UGA 1-7
A&M 1-9
Clemson 2-2
OU 1-1

There’s one certainty in the universe and it’s that LSU is always going to get the best version of Bama.

We will never get the defense that took the field at Vandy, or the pick-six machine that played against OU.

Now do Oklahoma and LSU.

And you got the record wrong anyway. They are 4-2-1 vs Alabama.
