Who do the Pokes go after to try and rebuild what was once a proud football program?

Sloan… watch it happen.

This program has become the epitome of instability and dysfunction. The moment a new coach loses their first game, the same group of 60-70-year-old fans stuck romanticizing the glory days of Bobby Keasler in the ’90s will be calling his head.
It’s absurd how many head coaches this program has cycled through in the past eight years. 4 coaches in 8 years.
At this point, who would even want this job? They’ll likely offer it to some mediocre special teams coach for $125k, and after three years of yet another rebuild, they’ll run him off too.
Until the program addresses its deeper issues, starting with realistic expectations, this cycle will never end.

Well 2 of those left, right?
And the chosen son was just shown to be a shitty HC.
They had to panic hire Goff due to timing and situation (it was around Laura)
I think they need one of those pistol-option guys b/c they're never going to recruit well.

Doesn’t matter. Just goes to show that the resources aren’t provided to keep up with the Jones’s.
In the end, it’s still a massive amount of turnover regardless of who, what, when, and why.
Other coaches WILL look at that and it will cause coaches to scoff at taking that job.
Those blue hairs that want Keasler back have too much pull in this program

While true they’ve had horrible hires.
Goff was a horrible fit and the stuff you hear behind doors is unacceptable
It’s sad what has become of such a proud program. They stepped up for Will Wade, can they do that for a football coach?

What’s Matt Viator up to? Maybe they can beg him to come back.

Tim Leger should be highly considered. Played under Keasler, coached under Viator, current OC at ULL with strong recruiting ties in this state.

I think I’m liking Coach Leger right where he’s currently at.

They can’t afford Leger

Not even close to a panic hire. He was not given a fair chance. Offense led the southland in every rushing category.
Mcneese better take a look at the AD before it really gets into an embarrassing situation.

people need to understand what McNeese can afford. They might be able to pay 200k for a coach.
Slade makes 600k at LSU
Also, Goff came from Valdosta so scratch another HC from Valdosta off the list

What stuff have you heard?

Will Wade could turn it around.

Things I never thought I'd see: Gary Goff truthers on TD.
