We also need QB help, but you're right that the line (on both sides) need to improve, which could help the qb as well.
It's hard to say which one is more important at this juncture until we see the portal. If we can get a top qb in the portal and get stewart, Underwood flip won't sting so bad long term; however, if there's no top qbs in the portal or we miss on them Underwood is going to sting a lot more.
With the portal and every player essentially on a year to year contract, there's just too many unknowns to definitively say landing one of these guys over the other was more important.
Losing Underwood sucks. Period. Theres no way around it. Landing stewart doesn't fix that. Getting a great qb from the portal will.

Need a qb more.
At Stewart's price, pass. If 1.5 is the best we could do for a supposed "generational" qb, no way will we spend 2+ on a DL with 1 season of experience. If we do I give up until our leadership is changed, because we are fricked.

What I heard today is that Michigan has joined the convo on Stewart & the numbers will definitely be going up if that is true.

Underwood is about to put Michigan in the playoffs for the next 3 years. LSU will still be looking for a QB and a defense. This is the biggest loss in LSU recruiting history.
